I think it would be cool to have an American Girl Place Seattle, but I (sorry!) doubt that they would do it because they already have an AG Place in California, on the West coast. Just like I wish there were an AGP in Pennsylvania, but I know that will never happen because they already have an East coast AGP. I will still sign your petition, though! Good luck!

The west coast is a very large.. and if they are possibly going to make an AG place in flordia, then I think that they should most definitely make one in the pacific north west. They could even get the market from western canada that way. And not to sound harsh to anyone who lives in california. But they get EVERYTHING there, its time to share

I really think 4 AGPs is more than enough! Of course, I was disapointed when they were saying they weren't going to make anymore after NY, but now that there's one "near" me, I'm very happy, so I can totally understand how you feel (are you in Seattle, or just nearer to it than LA?).

LA and Seattle might not be "very" close, but I do think it's close "enough." Of course, I have no idea what the mile distance is or an hour distance, or anything. It takes about 10 hours to drive from here to LA, and from looking at a map it looks as though Seattle to LA may be about 15 by car, and 8-10 by plane, which isn't very much, considering how far everyone in the West was from an AGP before! However, I can see how someone in Idaho or North Dakota would much prefer to go to Seattle than LA! Although, ND residents might be better off going to Chicago, anyway.

True, the west coast is huge! I think SF would have been a better selection for an AGP if they were trying to make this California one be the only one in the West, but LA has a far larger amount of tourists every year. Seattle does have some tourists, but nowhere near the amounts of NY, LA, and Florida.

I really think they should stop after Florida. I know that none of us want to see AG become incredibly commercial, and I think that with 5 stores, they'd deffinitly be hitting that stage. But, then, like I said, I'm almost as close as one can be without having to pay sales tax , so that's obviously going to influence my opinion.

I'm very glad they're putting one in Florida. There's so much tourism there, and I don't think anything is better than the combo of Disney and AG. Which is going to make my 2006 trip to LA be absolutely amazing.

I would love to help you out but I really don't want one here. I would go there all the time and I think, for myself, too much of a good thing would lead to boredom. I want to keep my interest piqued.

I agree that since there's going to be an LA one, that's enough for the west coast.

I heard a while back that someone at AG said that three is the magic number. There'll be no more. I should think that if they decide to expand, somewhere in Texas would be appropriate.

OK, both my DD and I signed the petition. We live in the Seattle area. We'd love to have an American Girl place nearby although I'm sure we'd be tempted to spend even more money on AG items! - Meg B.

I personally would prefer to live in a state that doesn't have an AGP. I like not paying tax on my catalog orders.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">How would they get the wrong idea? They would see that there are varying opinions, which is true. By only posting one side, they might get the wrong idea. People should be free to post their opinions on either side. Best of luck with your petition. It will surely show AG the kind of support Seattle would give to an AGP.
